This submission expresses support for the Bill’s primary objectives to maximise the current and future well-being of Auckland and its communities.

This submission expressed support for the Bill’s primary objectives to maximise the current and future well-being of Auckland and its communities. We asked that an approach be taken to regional infrastructure planning and service development that ensures families are involved in decision making and that their interests are a central consideration. The submission further asked for reconsideration of three Maori seats on the Auckland Council. Finally, we suggested that local boards be given the ability to develop family services and initiatives that deliver positive outcomes for families.
